There are lot of benefits of making "Read More" link because :-
- Shorten your page
- Let's your reader choose an article they'd like to read
- Fasten your page when loading
There are three step in to make this trick...
STEP 1
First,
copy and paste this code into notepad or word...
After that, go to Layout > Edit HTML...
Don't forget to click the Expand Widget Templates box!!
Hold Ctrl and click F to open search box.
After you opened it, search this tag :
</head>
After you found it, copy and paste the code in your notepad just above the </head> tag...
STEP 2
Copy and paste this code into notepad or word...
Hold Ctrl and click F to open search box.
After you opened it, search this tag :
<data:post.body/>
After you found it, copy and paste the code in your notepad just below the <data:post.body/> tag...
After that, save your template...
STEP 3
Go to Settings > Formatting > Post Template
After that, paste this code in the Post Template box :
First part of your post goes here!<div class="fullpost">Rest of Entry goes here!</div>
Note :-
- First part of your post goes here! = Seen on front page
- Rest of Entry goes here! = Seen after you click "Read more!!
Yahoo!!! So now you have created your "Read more" link... ^-^

go to Layout -> Page Elements...
Click Add a Gadget and choose HTML/Javascript...
After that,copy this code and paste it :
<form action="http://YOUR BLOG.blogspot.com/search" method="get"> <input class="textinput" name="q" size="20" type="text"/> <input value="search" class="buttonsubmit" name="submit" type="submit"/></form>
Change your YOUR BLOG to your blog's name and the number 20 is the width of your search box...You can change it from number appropriate to your layout...
You also can paste the code after the <body> tag or else if you have skills in HTML editing...
